Cellular Internet Applications
The Autonomous Innovations, Inc. Cellular Internet device utilizes General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)
to link our embedded sensors to the Internet. Two way communication is supported
so that commands or configuration changes could be sent directly to the sensor...
perfect for remote monitoring situations.
The device can optionally contain an embedded GPS so that mobile sensors can have their
data geolocated. SMS (text) messages can be sent out directly if certain alarm conditions
occur. The device can be used on it's own for basic sensor reporting,
or combined with the Sports,
Automotive, and Chemical
logging devices.
Innovative Autonomous Systems' NeXEO software includes support for
monitoring sensors like the cellular Internet device, amongst others, through
an intuitive web-based interface.
Below is a picture of our cellular Internet device. To the right is a SIM card,
required for connecting to the cellular Internet through your provider of choice.
Currently a basic level contract for transmitting upto 5MB of data
per month costs around $20/month.
